Get Involved

Become a Volunteer

Volunteering with our committee would include utilizing your personal strengths and interests in order to support the committee with the day to day operations of the program. We encourage flexibility with our volunteers and we strive to respect the time and contributions brought forth by each volunteer. This would include supplementing work with our young people in the community and creating community connections. Each volunteer will be assessed individually and approved for membership by the committee.

Become a Community Partner

Our program relies on the support of the greater community. Community partners are agencies, businesses and organizations that provide volunteer and learning opportunities to serve as part of their contracts for our program. Please email us at stj.yd@yahoo.com if your business or community agency could provide opportunities for youth.

Become a Committee Member

Committee members are elected volunteers who commit to sitting on the committee for a two year period. Duties include participating in monthly committee meetings and attending  the big picture issues of the program as well as working with young people and victims in the community.

To inquire about joining the committee, please email your resume to stj.yd@yahoo.com. All volunteers are subject to a criminal records screening certificate, vulnerable sector check, three written references, a child protection clearance check and an oath of confidentiality. Applicants are not necessarily chosen based on their qualifications but chosen with the intention of diversifying our committee to better serve the community as a whole.
